As the cryptocurrency industry grows in number and popularity, more and more people have started joining the platform with every passing day. When the cryptocurrency industry was launched, crypto-mining was nothing more than a hobby or source of entertainment for the miners.
However, as cryptocurrencies started picking up the pace and popularity, miners have become ambitious and enthusiastic. With the passage of time, cryptocurrency miners have started coming up with different ideas and ways of mining cryptocurrencies.
Every now and then, a miner turns up with a unique way they have adopted to mine cryptocurrencies. Recently a cryptocurrency miner has shocked the entire cryptocurrency mining community with the way he has started mining cryptocurrencies.
According to the reports, a cryptocurrency miner from the United States has designed and installed a crypto-mining rig at a very unusual place. The miner himself stated that he has done this in order to annoy the gaming community.
The United States miner Simon Byrne revealed that he has placed the crypto-mining rig on the back of his BMW i8 hybrid car. Byrne stated that he spent a lot of time and resources in setting up the infrastructure for the mining platform. He stated that by doing this, he is trying to create a Cryptocurrency Utopia.
According to one of the gaming sites known as PC Gamer, the U.S. miner has put together a high-end mining rig in the car. PC Gamer informed that Byrne has fixed six Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics cards in the trunk of his BMW i8 hybrid car.
The gaming site has confirmed that the rig is getting its power for mining from the car’s battery system. The site has revealed that the miner must keep the boot of his car opened during the mining process. If he does not do it then the mining rig will end up becoming overheated and may end up getting crashed.
The company that was the first to spot the car with the rig installed in it was Hardware Times. The firm claimed that the acquisition price of the BMW i8 hybrid car was $147,500. The vehicle that Byrne acquired has the ability to go from 0 to 100 KMPH in a matter of 4.4 seconds.
As far as the rig on the back of the car is concerned, the ASUS B250 Mining Expert board is used for powering the rig. The ASUS Mining Expert Board is supported by the EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 Power supply.
The cryptocurrency miner from the United States has stated that he has not created this rig for operational or practical purposes. As per Byrne, he has created this platform just to tease and annoy the gaming community.
The main reason for Byrne annoying the gamers is because RTX 3080 graphic cards have become short in the market. It is because of the power and hash rate that the graphics card is able to generate.
