Exeedme is considered to be a gaming monetization platform founded in the Q1 of 2021. At the time of the foundation, the founders of the company Francisco Varela and Nuno Fernandes shared the idea behind the foundation of Exeedme.
According to the founders, the online gaming industry has been around ever since the internet went commercial. In a matter of 2 decades, the online gaming industry has gained an enormous fan following. There are currently more than 2.5 billion gamers all over the world that have been using their own gaming consoles or doing it through gaming zones.
However, only a handful of gamers out of this enormous number are able to monetize their gaming skills through events, tournaments, or live gaming streams. Despite spending so many hours while gaming and competing with each other, the gamers never get to make any money out of it.
This is what laid the very foundation for Exeedme as the platform tends to offer gamers the opportunity to monetize the amount of time they spend playing video games.
It does not matter whether a gamer is a noob, amateur, mediocre, or a pro, all have the same opportunity to monetize their gaming time. The best thing about Exeedme is that the platform doesn’t let the players monetize on the basis of their gaming skills but the time they spend.
Before launching the monetizing platform, the company was focused on developing and launching video games that were free-to-play. In such games, the players do not have to pay in order to play the games but they have to pay if they would like to buy the digital contents available in-game.
Exeedme is prominently known for following the Free2Play business model and has been doing this through blockchain technology. However, the company has now shifted its business model to the Play2Earn model through blockchain-based networks.
In the Play2Earn model, the players are able to monetize their gaming skills as they achieve goals and challenges in order to earn the rewards and be able to monetize them in the form of cryptocurrencies.
The company has stated that shifting to the Play2Earn model would mean that the players will be able to create an open market that would be reliant on non-fungible tokens and decentralized finance (DeFi).
The gamers will no longer have to be bound to the intermediaries and third-party organizers in order to collect the reward money or bet before starting the tournaments.
Following the reports, Exeedme has launched the platform on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. At the time of launch, there were 100 users that were granted access to use the platform to compete against each other. The first tournament that took place on Exeedme’s blockchain network was Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
